P1000 SERVICE SOFTWARE MANUAL
14. SLIDE LOADING UNITS
88
Functioning properly, the system automatically ’drops’ the scanned slides that the Arm cannot place back to the magazines and takes them
back to the Safety container. After maximum 10 drops, the software cancels the scanning procedure and displays an error message.
Close the Gripper for a double-wide slide. Manually, insert the previously marked double wide slide. Mark the bi-sectioning line of the
container’s slot. Manually, navigate the Arm to the marked position so that the bi-sectioning line of the slide align the mark on the container:
this defines the X coordinate.
The distance between the slide and the syringe, where the slide is fitted, must be 5mm in Y. Navigate the unit to positive end position in Z
and set -200 µm. If you have the final positions, click on the side panel to set them.
7.4. Drop slide test by sensor
The Arm drops the slide selected in the drop-down menu to the container. The Arm must not collide, and the slide must fall into the container
safely. After successful operation, click the tick at Sensor is working.
8. Click on the Validation page. To start testing, fill up the magazine racks with full magazines. Start the validation process. The process
can even take 4-5 hours.
