AIMS Managers provide assistance when planning the system
The planning of DECT systems is examined in particular detail. Cordless systems
require not only that you determine the customer's requirements, wishes and cur-
rent communication situation, but also that you carry out meticulous measure-
ments to ascertain the site conditions. The last chapter looks at the different
aspects involved in planning a private network. An example network is used to
explain the planning procedure step by step.
"Part 4 Installation"
In Part 4 you will find information on the installation and wiring of the system and
on the choice of the right installation material. This is followed by a description of
how to wire up the different types of network interfaces, user-network interfaces
and special interfaces, and how to connect the terminals.
The sequence of chapters in Part 4 corresponds to the procedure in installation
practice:
• Mounting, preparation and connection of a system
• Installation of the system and expansion cards
• Connection of the terminals
At the end of Part 4 you will find a checklist for verifying the installation.
"Part 5 Configuration"
Part 5 explains how to configure a system efficiently and implement the charac-
teristics specific to the customer. The practical description of the configuration
processes takes account of the different requirements of the system variants.
The AIMS Managers provide support with the configuration. With their help you
can configure the system and customer data, and specify the access concept for
authorization. At the end you will find instructions for selecting the initialization
values.
