2 Mounting the PBX
The PBX can be both wall-mounted or installed vertically inside a 19" system cab-
inet. A special rack version is available for horizontal mounting in a 19" system
cabinet (see "Rack version Ascotel IntelliGate", page 712).
2.1 PBX location
When positioning the PBX take note of the location requirements in Tab. 4.1.

Location requirement
Location in general • Easily accessible and with adequate lighting
Heat radiation • Do not position the PBX in direct sunlight or near heating sources
EMC • Do not position the PBX in strong electromagnetic fields of radiation
(e. g. near x-ray equipment, welding equipment, etc.)
Convection • Observe the clearance requirements with the PBX (see Fig. 4.1 or Fig. 4.2)
• Provide ventilation slots of approx. 600 cm
2
each at the top and bottom of built-
in cabinets
Environment • Room temperature 5...35 °C
• Relative humidity 30.0.80%, non-condensing
