6.2 Indirect connection
There are two possibilities for connecting the PBX indirectly to the telephone net-
work and subscriber-side cabling:
• Connection via main distribution board
• Connection to a universal building cable installation (UBC)
6.2.1 Connection via main distribution board

16-pin connecting cable
The interface connectors on the 2025 / 2045 mainboard or the expansion cards
in the PBX are connected to the main distribution board or the patch panels using
a prefabricated 16-wire connecting cable.

The 16-wire connecting cable is supplied with the PBX or can be ordered from the
system supplier in lengths of 3 m, 6 m and 20 m.
