Cleaning the exterior of the drive, IP21 and IP55 (UL Type 1
and UL Type 12)
WARNING!
Obey the safety instructions of the drive. If you ignore them, injury or
death, or damage to the equipment can occur. If you are not a qualified
electrical professional, do not do installation, commissioning or
maintenance work.
1. Stop the drive and do the steps in section Electrical safety
precautions (page 24) before you start the work.
2. Clean the exterior of the drive. Use:
• vacuum cleaner with an antistatic hose and nozzle
• soft brush
• dry or damp (not wet) cleaning cloth. Moisten with clean water, or mild
detergent (pH 5…9 for metal, pH 5…7 for plastic).
WARNING!
Prevent water from entering the drive. Never use excessive amount of water,
a hose, steam, etc.
