Contents of this chapter
This chapter describes the intended audience and contents of the manual. It
contains a flowchart of steps in examining the delivery, installing and
commissioning the drive. The flowchart refers to chapters/sections in this manual
and other manuals.
Applicability
This manual applies to the ACS580-01 drives.
Target audience
This manual is intended for people who plan the installation, install, commission
and do maintenance work on the drive, or create instructions for the end user of
the drive concerning the installation and maintenance of the drive.
Read the manual before you work on the drive. You are expected to know the
fundamentals of electricity, wiring, electrical components and electrical schematic
symbols.
Categorization by frame size
The ACS580-01 is manufactured in frames (frame sizes) R1…R9. Some instructions
and other information that concern only certain frames are marked with the symbol
of the frame (R1…R9). The frame is marked on the type designation label of the
drive, see Type designation label (page 52).
