System Status: Status Messages
Where are status
messages
generated?
Status messages are generated
By the gas analyzer, i.e.
The system controller (signal processing, calibration, system bus)
The analyzer modules
The gas module
The temperature and pressure regulators
The I/O modules and external I/O devices
By peripherals, for example
The system cooler
Other sample gas conditioning modules
User-Configured
Status Messages
Status messages are automatically generated by the gas analyzer and by peri-
pherals.
Additionally, by configuring the Message generator function block, status
messages from the analyzer and peripherals can be linked into the status
message processing system (see Technical Bulletin 30/24-200 EN “AO2000
Function Blocks – Descriptions and Configuration” for details).
How are status
messages
processed?
(see Figure 10-1)
Status messages are shown on the screen and recorded in the log.
Status messages set a corresponding status signal (overall status or individual
status).
Status signals are indicated using status LEDs and output via the system
controller digital outputs.
