Removal, serial measurement unit
The procedure below details how to remove the serial measurement unit.

Turn off all:
• electric power supply
• hydraulic pressure supply
• air pressure supply (do not turn off for
Foundry Prime robots!)
to the robot, before entering the robot working
area.

ELECTROSTATIC DISCHARGE (ESD)
The unit is sensitive to ESD. Before handling the
unit read the safety information in section The
unit is sensitive to ESD on page 32

Remove the rear cover plate from the base.
CAUTION
Clean cover from metal residues before opening.
Metal residues can cause shortage on the boards
which can result in hazardous failures.

Cut all the straps.4
Unscrew the nuts that attaches the serial meas-
urement unit inside the base.

Remove the serial measurement unit.6

page 206.
Remove the connectors from the board.
Disconnect the battery cable by pressing down
the upper lip of the R2.G connector to release the
lock while pulling the connector upwards.
