Handling gearbox oil involves several safety
risks. Before proceeding, please read the safety

CAUTION
The gearbox can contain an excess of pressure
that can be hazardous. Open the oil plug care-
fully in order to let out the excess pressure.

Open the oil plug, gearbox and use it as a
ventilation hole.

Draining is time-consuming.
Elapsed time varies depending on the
temperature of the oil.
Drain the gearbox oil using an oil collecting
vessel.

Used oil is hazardous material and must be
disposed of in a proper way. See section De-
commissioning for more information.

Tightening torque:
• in armhouse: 10 Nm
• in gearbox: 3 Nm
Refit oil plugs.9
Draining - alternative method
Use this procedure to drain the oil from the gearbox, as an alternative method.
If this method is used, oil must be sucked out of the gearbox using an oil dispenser.
