4.6.3. Replacement of motor, axis 3

Replacement of the motor axis 3 (Foundry Prime)
Robots working with Foundry Prime and that have the special tightness for this application
require special repair routines to maintain the tightness level.
The repair must be done according to the repair chapter in the Product Manual with the
following additions.
15. Refit the cover on top of the motor with its four
attachment screws.
Make sure the cover is tightly
sealed!
16. Remove the equipment used to unload the upper
arm.
17. Perform a leak-down test. Detailed in section Performing a
leak-down test on page 224.
18. Refill the gearbox with oil. Detailed in section Oil change,
gearbox, axis 3 on page 188.
19. Recalibrate the robot! Calibration is detailed in a separate
calibration manual, enclosed with
the calibration tools.

included in section Calibration
information on page 409.

DANGER!
Make sure all safety requirements are met when
performing the first test run. These are further
detailed in section DANGER - First test run may
cause injury or damage! on page 38.

pneumatic pressure supplies to the robot!
For Foundry Prime robots: Do not turn off the air
pressure to motors and SMB.
