Refitting, battery
Use this procedure to refit the SMB battery.

Turn off all:
• electric power supply
• hydraulic pressure supply
to the robot, before entering the robot working
area.

ELECTROSTATIC DISCHARGE (ESD)
The unit is sensitive to ESD. Before handling the
unit please read the safety information in the sec-
tion The unit is sensitive to ESD on page 34

Clean the joints that have been opened. See Cut
the paint or surface on the robot before replacing
parts on page 219

equipment on page 189.
Reconnect the battery cable and install the battery
pack into the SMB/battery recess.
Note
RMU batteries are installed together with a battery
holder to be properly secured inside the recess.
See figure.
