Installation, separate fan cabling axis 1 or 2
The procedure below details how to install the separate cabling for the cooling fan of axis 1
or 2.

1. Move the robot to its calibration position. Shown in section Calibration
scales and correct axis position on
page 412.

DANGER!
Turn off all electric power, hydraulic and pneumatic
pressure supplies to the robot!
For Foundry Prime robots: Do not turn off the air
pressure to motors and SMB.
3. Remove the rear cover plate from the robot base. Shown in the figure Location of
cooling fans on page 97.
4. Fit the plate for customer connections, if not
already fitted, to the connection plate of the robot
base.

5. Run the cabling through the base and frame, up
beneath the balancing device.
6. Secure the cable bracket to the bracket of the
robot cabling inside the frame.
Run the cable underneath the robot cabling and
out through the side of the frame, at motor, axis 1.
The correct cable run is shown in the figure to the
right!
Note! There is a risk of the balancing device
damaging the cable if it is not protected by the
robot cabling!
