Restoring the balancing device
The procedure below details how to restore the balancing device, i.e. removing the press tool.
Locking liquid - Loctite 577
Used to secure the attachment screws
of the rear cover at the end of the
balancing device.

Standard toolkit on page 388 in part 2
of the Product manual.

Action Note/Illustration
1. Apply Mercasol 3106 between piston rod and ear. See illustration above.
2. Open the tap on the hydraulic valve to unload the
hydraulic cylinder and make sure themoving pin-
indicates that the tool has returned to its starting
position.
3. Remove the hydraulic cylinder.
4. Remove the press tool by unscrewing the bolts. Shown in the figure Press tool and
hydraulic cylinder on page 298!
5. Lubricate and refit the o-ring at the end of the
balancing device.
Make sure the o-ring is seated
properly! Replace if damaged.
6. Make sure the damper is properly fitted to the
support shaft and refit them both to the balancing
device.
7. Lubricate and refit the o-ring on the support shaft. Make sure the o-ring is seated
properly! Replace if damaged.
8. Refit the rear cover to the balancing device with
its attachment screws, using locking liquid.

DANGER!
The rear cover of the balancing device is a safety
device for the piston rod during operation! Make
sure the cover is properly secured before com-
missioning of the robot!
