Check for leakage
The front ear of the balancing device is lubricated with grease.
Leaks at o-rings, radial sealings etc. are not acceptable and must be attended to
immediately to avoid damage to the bearing.

Clean the area at the front ear from contamina-
tion.

Run the robot for some minutes, in order to
move the balancing device piston.

DANGER
Turn off all:
• electric power supply to the robot
• hydraulic pressure supply to the robot
• air pressure supply to the robot
Before entering the robot working area.

Check the area around the o-ring and radial
sealings at the front ear, for leakage.

The o-ring and radial sealings are in-
cluded in the Maintenance kit, bear-
ings and seals already assembled with
sealing spacers and sealing rings.
Article number for the kit is specified
in Required material on page 137.
Replace o-ring and radial sealings if leaks are
detected.
