Laser Adjust
Use the Laser Adjust screen to tune the laser wavelength. Laser adjustment may be required if the analyzer loses
the frequency linelock of the lasers. To manually adjust the laser offset:
STEP 1 Click Setup, then the Laser Adjust tab.
STEP 2 Check the Disable Automatic Frequency Lock box to allow manual control of the laser (see Figure
26).
STEP 3 Select Laser A Frequency Offset: a pop-up numerical keyboard appears, as shown in Figure 27, to
change the laser operating frequency.
STEP 4 Adjust the Laser A Frequency Offset using the arrow buttons. Shift the target absorption line to the
center of the absorption peak.
STEP 5 Click the carriage return button to accept the new value.
STEP 6 If Laser B is installed, repeat STEP 3 through STEP 5, but for Laser B.
STEP 7 Uncheck the Disable Automatic Frequency Lock box: The software resumes automatic tracking and
control of the laser wavelength.
STEP 8 Click Close to exit the Laser Adjust screen.
Figure 26 shows a Laser Adjust screen with the laser frequencies properly adjusted, so that the absorption
features are centered on the target lines.
