This chapter contains instructions to receive and install
the Softstarter.
WARNING
If you do not obey these instructions, it can cause the
Softstarter to overheat or not operate correctly.
4.1 Receive, unpack and examine
WARNING
Risk of damage to property. Make sure that no
liquids, dust or conductive parts can go into the
Softstarter.
Make sure that the package is placed with the correct
side up, see Figure 4.1.
• Remove the transport casing.
• Make sure that the order code agrees with the delivery
documents.
• Make sure that all items are included, see the delivery
note. See
Table 1 Delivery note.
• Examine the Softstarter and the packaging. In case of
damages, speak to the transport company or the ABB
reseller/Office immediately.
• Keep the Softstarter in its packaging until installation.
