8.5.1 Selecting the test mode
The test mode can be activated using the LHMI. The green Normal LED is flashing to
indicate that the test mode is activated.By default, the test mode can only be changed from
the LHMI. Activation by remote client is possible, see the technical manual.
The Normal LED also flashes if the protection relay detects a diagnostic
failure. Check the test mode setting and the protection relay's IRF alarm
contact status to find the reason for the failure.
The test mode is useful for simulated testing of functions and outputs without providing
current inputs.

Select Main menu/Tests/IED test/Test mode and press .

Select the test mode status with or .

Press to confirm the selection.
If the test mode is not cancelled, it remains on and the Normal LED
remains flashing.
