Redundant channels must be configured in the same way at both ends of the line
differential communication link or otherwise an unwanted trip may occur when the
main channel fails and the redundant channel is enabled. This means that it is not
possible to have an LDCM for a redundant channel only at one end.
Also, SMT configuration for the redundant channel must be left empty. The
redundant channel takes over the signal matrix configuration from the main
channel when enabled. If the redundant channel has been allocated, for example,
current inputs at one end or at both ends via the SMT tool, an unwanted trip occurs.
