1. General
This information applies to the spring operating mechanism BLG 1002A intended
for operating circuit-breakers with integrated opening springs. Information
regarding maintenance is provided in these instructions.
Preventive maintenance and overhaul work on the operating mechanism BLG
1002A should be carried out at regular intervals.
• Visual inspection at intervals of 1-2 years.
• Lubrication after 3-6 years or 2,000 mechanical Close-Open operations.
• Preventive maintenance after 15 years or 5,000 mechanical Close-Open
operations.
• Overhaul after 30 years or 10,000 mechanical Close-Open operations.
Overhauling and repair work may only be carried out by authorised ABB
Switchgear AB service personnel.
