4.1.1 Mechanical interlock
The mechanical interlock prevents a closing operation if the circuit-breaker is
already in the closed position or if the closing springs in the operating mechanism
are uncharged or not completely charged, which can occur if, for example, the
closing catch has been opened by hand or if a mechanical fault has occurred in the
interlocking mechanism.
• Check the position of the interlocking arm in relation to the outside of the
interlocking disc. The interlocking arm should lie 2 mm above this.
• Check that the closing circuit is closed when the arm rests on the outside of the
interlocking disc.
