6.2 Inspection of the puffer
Move the contact springs upwards from position a to b. Lift off the pufferand check
that the sliding surfaces on the pull-rod are not worn.
Check that the nozzle is not punctured. Also check that the contact surfaces on the
puffer cylinder are not burnt or worn so that copper is visible.
Replace the entire puffer if it has burnt or worn surfaces or if the nozzle has been
punctured.
