USING DOWNLINK SOFTWARE

Start
To start DownLink software:
1. Click Start, select Programs and choose the ABB program group.
2. Double click the STT04 icon.
3. Click Password. A password dialog box appears.
4. Type your user name and password and click OK. The DownLink
software application opens (Fig. O-3).
NOTES:
1. Remember user names and passwords can be case sensitive.
2. Select the desired COM port the first time the software is
started by clicking Special Advanced and selecting Set COM Port.
Database
Each database relates to a file folder on the computer. The following
subsections describe the menu items of the Database selection.
NEW
Use this function to create a database folder on the personal com-
puter for configuration storage. New databases are normally saved
under the following path:
C:\Program Files\STT04 DownLink - ABB Process Automation\Data-
base\[database name]
1. Start the DownLink software. Refer to Start located in this sec-
tion.
2. Click Database and select New.
