6. Sachgemäße Handhabung und Pflege
• Vor jedem Gebrauch muss der Helm und dessen Beriemung geprüft werden.
• In regelmäßigen Abständen sollte der Helm auf sichtbare Mängel überprüft werden.
• Bitte den Helm niemals verändern oder Originalteile entfernen, weil dies die Schutzwir-
kung des Helmes vermindert.
• Den Helm nicht bemalen und bekleben, weil schädigende Inhaltsstoffe die Stabilität und
Schutzwirkung herabsetzen könnten.
• Helm niemals umgestalten oder zweckentfremden.
• Jegliche Nichtbeachtung der Gebrauchshinweise, sowie Veränderungen, und unsachge-
mäße Benutzung des Helms können zum Haftungsausschluss führen.
• Helm kühl, trocken und geschützt lagern. Um den Helm vor Beschädigungen zu schüt-
zen, den Helm in der Originalverpackung oder vergleichbarem transportieren.
• Der Helm darf keinesfalls Temperaturen über 60°C (147°F) ausgesetzt werden, weil er
sonst schützende Eigenschaften verlieren könnte.
• Nicht hinter Glasscheiben, z.B. im Auto (Brennglaseffekt), oder in der Nähe von
Heiz- oder Wärmequellen aufbewahren.
• Ist der Helm einem stärkeren Stoß ausgesetzt worden, muss er sofort ersetzt werden,
weil auch ohne sichtbare Hinweise die Schutzwirkung stark beeinträchtigt sein kann.
• In Abhängigkeit des Nutzungsgrades und den konkreten Einsatzbedingungen muss ein
Fahrradhelm nach spätestens 4 - 5 Jahren ab der ersten Nutzung ausgetauscht werden.
Angesichts der nicht vermeidbaren Materialermüdung muss der Helm spätestens 8 Jahre
nach Produktionsdatum auch dann ausgetauscht werden, wenn dieser keine offensicht-
lichen optischen oder technischen Mängel aufweist.
• Helmschale, Verstellring und herausnehmbare Innenpolster können von Hand (lauwar-
mes Wasser, weiche Tücher, lösungsmittelfreier Reiniger) gereinigt werden. Dies gilt auch
für Sonnenschutzschirme.
• Verwenden Sie ausschließlich Original Ersatzteile.
• Bitte informieren Sie sich zur Entsorgung des Produktes bei Ihrem Entsorgungsunternehmen.
Entsorgen Sie die Verpackung sortenrein. Geben Sie Pappe und Karton zum Altpapier,
Folien und Kunststoffteile in die Wertstoff-Sammlung.
• Für Helme, die mit Quin ausgestattet sind, bitte beiliegende Hinweise beachten.

1. Usage
This helmet is designed exclusively for cycling sports is recommended as protective equip-
ment for the following activities (fig. A).
It is not suitable for the following activities (fig. B).
The helmet is not approved for use in other types of sports / activities.
WARNING: Chin bars may not protect you in some crashes — even low speed crashes —
and serious injury or death can occur.
WARNING: The protection provided by a bicycle helmet is not always comprehensive,
which can lead to serious injury or even death.
2. Optimum fit
• Do not pull the helmet over your forehead, reducing visibility (fig. B).
• Do not push the helmet towards the back of your head, as this will not protect your
forehead (fig. C).
• The helmet is properly fitted when it sits level on the head. (fig. A)
• The helmet can only protect your head if it fits correctly (fig. C).
