Introducing a user logo
Specific key functions when the Talk Set is active
Pressing the <Talk Set> key calls the following keys:
<Com. Laser>Toggles the transmitted signal wavelength between 1550 and 1310
nm. This key is also available in the standby state. A 1550 nm wave
length provides communication of greater distances than a 1310
nm wavelength.
<Volume ++> and <Volume - - >
Adjust the ear piece volume.
<Ringing> Causes an audio signal to be transmitted from the distant
instrument with which you wish to establish communication.
<EXIT> Returns to the configuration keys.
Introducing a user logo
The Wavetek logo that appears by default in the help windows and in the
headers of printouts can be replaced with the user’s logo.
Conditions
Dimensions of user’s logo
The user’s logo must have the following dimensions:
Height ≤ 40 pixels
Width ≤ 400 pixels (this dimension must be a multiple of 8)
Height x width ≤ 8000
Format of user’s logo
Bitmap 16 colors.
Configuration of
MTS
e
The MTS
e
must be equipped with a floppy disk drive.
Method of integrating a logo
On the PC, using a "Paint" type drawing application:
• create a file at the dimensions of the new logo. Modify it if necessary to meet
the conditions above.
• save the file as a bmp format file, type "Bitmap 16 colors".
• copy the logo file onto the floppy disk
On the MTS
e
:
• insert the floppy disk
• press the
FILE key and find the file corresponding to the logo (see "Finding
files" on page 8-18).
• press the <Load logo> key.
