GOP Type can be set to open or
closed. An OPEN GOP uses
referenced pictures from the
previous GOP at the current GOP
boundary. A CLOSED GOP starts
with an I Frame and subsequent B
Frames do not rely on I or P
frames from the previous GOP.
GOP Structure sets the format
Group-of-Pictures will use; the
order of interframes and the
various types of picture frames
that will be used.
GOP Size is the distance between
two full image frames (I-Frames)
in a GOP Structure.
The user can select encoder
behavior during video loss. The
encoder can stop encoding, encode
black, or generate a combination of
Black, Bars, Tones and Service ID.
