WARNING:
As additional protection we recommend the installation of a
fault current protection device (FI / RCD) with a rated current
of not more than 30 mA in the wiring system of the bathroom.

This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and
above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental ca-
pabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been
given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance
in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.
Children must not play with the appliance.
Cleaning and user maintenance must not be carried out by
children, unless they are supervised.
Do not try to repair the appliance on your own. Always contact
an authorized technician. If the supply cord is damaged, it must
be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly
qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.
Always remove the plug from the socket after use.
Allow the device to cool down before cleaning it and storing it
away!
This device is not intended to be immersed in water during
cleaning. Please observe the instructions that we have included
for you in the chapter “Cleaning”.
Before Initial Use
Remove all the packing materials.
When the device is switched on for the first time there
may be a slight smell. You should therefore operate the
device for approximately 10 minutes without smoothing
your hair. Ensuring sufficient ventilation!
Commissioning
1. Fully unwind the mains cable.
2. Insert the plug in a duly installed socket.
3. Slide the switch on the handle to the “ON” position, to
turn on the device.
The control light will light up. After a few minutes, the
device is operational.
