Function Description:

The hob's primary function is to provide a versatile cooking surface with various heat settings. It includes several key features to enhance the cooking experience:

Induction Cooking Zones: These zones automatically adapt to the dimension of the cookware's bottom, ensuring efficient heat transfer. The hob supports cooking with large cookware placed across two cooking zones simultaneously, provided the cookware covers the centers of both zones.
Heat Setting: Users can set or change the heat setting by touching or sliding a finger along the control bar. The display shows the current heat setting, ranging from 0 (deactivated) to 14 (operating).
Automatic Heat Up: This function allows for faster heating to a desired setting. When activated, the zone operates at the highest setting initially and then adjusts to the chosen heat setting. It can only be activated when the cooking zone is cold.
PowerBoost: This feature provides additional power to induction cooking zones for a limited period, ideal for quickly boiling large quantities of water or searing meat. After the limited time, the zone automatically reverts to its highest regular heat setting.
Timer Functions:
- Count Down Timer: Allows users to set a specific duration for a cooking zone to operate. An acoustic signal sounds when the time ends, and the cooking zone deactivates.
- CountUp Timer: Monitors how long a cooking zone has been operating, displaying the elapsed time in minutes.
- Minute Minder: Functions as a standalone timer when the hob is active but cooking zones are not operating. It provides an acoustic signal when the set time ends without affecting cooking zone operations.
Pause Function: This feature sets all active cooking zones to the lowest heat setting (1) and locks other control panel symbols, allowing for temporary interruptions during cooking.

The fan speed of the hood is automatically adjusted based on the hob's mode setting and the temperature of the hottest cookware. Users can also operate the fan manually from the hob. This function can also activate the hood light automatically when the hob is turned on.
Öko Timer (Eco Timer): Designed to save energy, this function deactivates the cooking zone heater before the set countdown timer sounds. The duration of this pre-deactivation depends on the heat setting and the cooking operation length.

Usage Features:

Activation/Deactivation: The hob is activated or deactivated by touching the ON/OFF sensor field for one second.
Automatic Switch Off: The hob automatically deactivates under several conditions, such as when all zones are off, no heat setting is selected after activation, spills on the control panel, overheating, use of incorrect cookware, or prolonged operation without changes to the heat setting.
Cookware Suitability: The manual provides guidance on suitable cookware materials (cast iron, steel, enamelled steel, stainless steel, multi-layer bottom) and unsuitable ones (aluminium, copper, brass, glass, ceramic, porcelain). A simple test using water boiling speed or a magnet can determine suitability. Cookware bases should be thick, flat, clean, and dry.
Cooking Applications: The manual offers examples of cooking applications with recommended heat settings, times, and hints for various tasks like keeping food warm, making sauces, frying, steaming, and boiling.
