9 Parallel operation
9.1 Functionality
PROTECT C. 6000 (S) and C. 10000 (S) was developed for
the parallel operation in n+x technology (”n“ stands for the
number of necessary appliances for load supply, “x“ stands
for the redundancy level). Up to three appliances of the same
type can be connected in parallel to raise the output power
and/or to receive a higher availability.
The following constellations are possible according to the n+x
technology:
1 + 0 Use of 1 unit max. 6 or 10 kVA No redundancy
1 + 1 Use of 2 units max. 6 or 10 kVA Single redundancy
1 + 2 Use of 3 units max. 6 or 10 kVA Double redundancy
(max. configuration level)
2 + 0 Use of 2 units max. 12 or 20 kVA No redundancy
2 + 1 Use of 3 units max. 12 or 20 kVA Single redundancy
(max. configuration level)
3 + 0 Use of 3 units max. 18 or 30 kVA No redundancy
(max. configuration level)
