Do you have a question about the aerauliqa Quantum NEXT 100 and is the answer not in the manual?
The Quantum NEXT is a decentralized (single-point) heat recovery unit, also known as a "push&pull" system, designed to provide adequate ventilation in enclosed spaces without energy loss. It is recommended to install two units in pairs, where one unit extracts air and the other supplies it. A pair of units can be installed in the same room or in different rooms (e.g., living room and bedroom). The unit is suitable for installation on an external wall.
The unit should operate continuously and only be stopped for maintenance or service. If heat exchange is not beneficial (e.g., during mid-season when indoor and outdoor temperatures are similar) or not recommended (e.g., when selecting "summer free cooling"), it is advisable to set the unit to "extraction only" or "supply only" mode and NOT turn it off.
The unit comes standard with an infrared remote controller (K) and a wall-mountable base (L). The controller is attached to the base using a magnet. The controller has an LCD display to visualize settings to be transmitted to the unit. Each time a touch button is pressed, the setting shown on the LCD display is transmitted to the unit. The IR receiver is located on the left side of the ventilation unit (E); it is recommended to point the controller towards the receiver when transmitting any setting. One remote controller can control multiple units. Two AAA batteries (not included) are required to activate the remote controller.
Upon power-on, the unit emits a long acoustic signal. The following functions can be activated/deactivated via the IR controller. When a setting is transmitted to the unit, a short acoustic signal is emitted, and a green indicator light flashes.
ON/OFF: The unit can be turned on or off. (OFF: Red LED, long acoustic signal; LCD ON: Green LED, short acoustic signal)
Boost Speed Increase: The unit operates at maximum power (Speed 5) for 15 minutes in extraction mode; it then returns to the previous mode/power. Boost mode cannot be activated if the unit is off. (Solid blue LED, short acoustic signal)
"Freecooling" Free Cooling Mode: When heat recovery is not desired, the unit operates in "supply only" or "extraction only" mode. (Green LED, short acoustic signal)
Intelligent Humidity Control: When the humidity sensor detects a rapid change in relative humidity, the unit automatically increases its power by one level. After 10 minutes from this change, the unit returns to the preset power. This intelligent humidity control is active only if the unit is in alternating airflow mode or extraction mode; at speed 5, the unit's power will not increase. To deactivate the function, press the button for 5 seconds; the symbol will appear at the top of the LCD display. (Flashing blue LED)
Anti-frost Protection: This function prevents ice formation on the heat exchanger at extremely low temperatures. When activated, the unit operates in extraction mode at speed 1 for 30 minutes. (Red LED, solid)
Acoustic Signal: Whenever a control signal is transmitted from the controller to the unit, the unit emits a short acoustic signal. This function can be deactivated by pressing the button for 7 seconds; successful deactivation is indicated by the indicator light turning green. When activating functions, the procedure is the same; successful activation is indicated by a green LED light and an acoustic signal. (Green LED, short acoustic signal)
Backup Button: In case of remote controller loss or depleted batteries, the ON or OFF position can be set using the backup button on the board by pressing it for at least 3 seconds. (ON: Green LED, short acoustic signal; OFF: Red LED, long acoustic signal)
Unit Synchronization: Up to 10 units can be synchronized using a cable (2-wire cable, max length 30m). The operating mode and mode change interval can be synchronized. When first powered on, the rotation direction (clockwise or counter-clockwise) is automatically set. Other functions such as speed, intelligent humidity control, and boost mode remain independently controlled on each unit.
Maintenance can be performed by the user, as shown in figures 49-65.
The device complies with EU Directive 2002/96/EC. The crossed-out waste bin symbol means that this product must not be disposed of with household waste but must be collected separately from other waste. The user should deliver this product to a designated collection point or an authorized collection point for recycling electrical and electronic equipment, or return it to the retailer when purchasing a new device. Separate collection of discarded devices for recycling, processing, and environmentally friendly disposal helps prevent negative impacts on the environment and health and promotes the recycling of materials from which the device is made. Improper disposal of the product by the user may result in administrative penalties established by law.
