All parts of the wrapper operate hydraulically. With hydraulic cylinders or hydraulic motors that operate the
chains of the wrapping table and wrapping ring.
2.3.16 Wrapping Table
The wrapping table has a frame with three belts that hold the bale.
The table can tilt into four positions:
• To collect the bale
• To wrap the bale
• To release the bale
• For transport.
During the wrapping procedure the belts turn the bale. The wrapping table has three sensors to sense the
bale and to correct the procedure.
When the bale is wrapped, the wrapping table lowers and the wrapped bale is released.
2.3.17 Wrapping Ring
The wrapping ring has two holders for the film rolls and the stretch units.
The wrapping ring can tilt into four positions:
• To collect the bale
• To wrap the bale
• To release the bale
• For transport
During the procedure, the wrapping ring turns around the wrapping table and applies layers of plastic film
wrap around the bale.
The frame of the wrapping ring is adjustable in height, and automatically adjusts to the correct wrapping
height for the diameter of the bale.
The wrapping ring has sensors to find the safe position and count the number of wrappings.
2.3.18 Stretch Unit
The stretch unit holds the stretch rollers that pre-stretch the film during wrapping.
The stretch unit has three sets of gear wheels that when installed set three dierent pre-stretch values:
• 55% (gear pair [A] = 21 teeth, [B] = 32 teeth)
• 70% (gear pair [A] = 20 teeth, [B] = 33 teeth)
• 90% (gear pair [A] = 18 teeth, [B] = 35 teeth).
The stretch unit has a sensor to sense if the film becomes damaged or the film roll is empty.
2.3.19 Film Knife
When the wrapping procedure stops, the film knives lift up.
The wrapping ring turns to its safe position. During that movement, the knife unit clamps and cuts the film.
The film stays clamped in the film knife until the next wrapping procedure starts.
2.3.20 Cameras
The machine has two cameras that transmit pictures of the wrapper to the monitor in the tractor.
The cameras let you :
• Monitor the wrapping procedure.
