3 Safety instructions
→ Follow the safety instructions in the operating instructions for the individual
components of the measuring system (ALMEMO
®
measuring device,
sensors and software).
→ Note the operating conditions of the individual components of the measuring
system.
→ Select a mounting for the sensors that matches the climate set in the
climatic chamber.
→ Please note that the cube for positioning temperature sensors, which is sold
by Ahlborn Mess- und Regelungstechnik GmbH to match the ALMEMO
®
measuring system for calibrating climatic chambers, is made of steel and
heats up accordingly in hot environments.
3.1 Avoid measuring errors and product damage
→ Use sensors that have an operating temperature that matches the
temperature ranges to be calibrated.
→ Wait until the ALMEMO
®
measuring device has adjusted to the ambient
temperature before measuring with it.
If the ALMEMO
®
measuring device is brought into the operating room
from a cold environment, condensation may occur on the electronics.
Major measurement errors are also possible if the ambient
temperature changes significantly.
→ If you are using a rechargeable battery in the ALMEMO
®
measuring device,
thermocouple measurements using the device's internal cold junction
temperature should be carried out in battery mode if possible (no mains
adapter connected).
Thermocouple measurements in conjunction with another operating
mode (e.g. mains operation) can lead to increased measurement
errors.
→ Always position the ALMEMO
®
measuring device outside the climatic
chamber.
