Function Description:

The primary function of the AI-BS-WS42 is to scan barcodes and transmit the captured data wirelessly. It supports various working modes, including Universal Mode, Cache Mode, and Inventory Mode, to accommodate different operational needs. In Universal Mode, the scanner immediately transmits data upon scanning and provides an alarm for transmission failures. Cache Mode stores data in the scanner if upload fails, ensuring data integrity until a stable wireless connection is re-established. Inventory Mode allows for direct storage of scanned data within the scanner, which can then be uploaded to a receiver or PC. This mode also includes functions for viewing the amount of uploaded data, manually clearing data, and automatically clearing data after upload. Usage Features:

The AI-BS-WS42 offers flexible connectivity and configuration options. Bluetooth Connection: To connect to a mobile device, the scanner must first be disconnected from any existing receiver. If no receiver is present, this step is unnecessary. To reconnect to a receiver, the Bluetooth communication mode should be set to BLE, and the receiver restarted. The device can be unpaired from a phone or tablet by scanning a specific barcode (only for Android models in HID mode). Bluetooth Communication Modes: It supports Bluetooth HID Mode, Bluetooth SPP Mode, and Bluetooth BLE Mode, allowing integration with a wide range of devices. Character Input/Output/Keyboard Format Setup:

Case Control: CapsLK detection can be enabled or disabled. When enabled, keyboard Caps do not affect output. When disabled, keyboard Caps will lock and affect output.
Keypad Output: This feature requires setting the output format to GBK and the language to English if the current language is German.
Output Format: Supports GBK Output (for TXT and Excel) and Unicode Output (for Word). Unicode output with the WDI2000 module requires UTF-8 output.
Function Keys Output: Allows adding function key suffixes (e.g., "→") to data, which can move the cursor to the next cell in Excel. Sleep Time Setup: Configurable sleep times include 1 minute, 5 minutes, 15 minutes, 45 minutes, No Sleep, and Immediately Sleep. The 45-minute sleep time is calculated as 60 * x = n (s), where x is the decimal value of the last two digits of the barcode. 0x0A Filter: This function can be turned on or off to filter line feed (0x0A) characters within the middle of a character string. If turned off, line feeds in the middle of data will be output normally. Line feeds at the end of the string are not filtered. Wired Output Mode: Supports USB-HID and USB-VCP. The USB-VCP mode requires a USB-to-serial port driver, except for Windows 10. The device automatically selects USB or RS-232 output based on hardware. Prompt Tone Selection: Users can enable or disable startup sounds and transmission sounds for both the scanner and the receiver base. This helps manage overlapping sounds from the module and PCB. Button Functions:

LED State Description:

Scanner: Flashes every 600ms when waiting for connection, solid light when connected.
Receiver Base: Solid light when connected, flashes every 1s when waiting for connection, flashes every 5s when disconnected, and flashes continuously during pairing. Start/Terminator Character Mode Setting: Allows customization of start and terminator characters for barcodes, with a maximum length of 10 digits. Common terminators include 0x0D (Enter), 0x0A (line feed), and 0x09 (Tab).

Maintenance Features:

Restore Factory Default Setting: This function allows users to reset the scanner to its factory default settings. However, it preserves certain configurations, including autoSetFactory flag, data output mode, keyboard language, buzzer sounds, and locked frequency flag.
