SHDSL interfaces (X12SHDSL-V2 card)

Purpose
NOTE: A X12SHDSL-V2 card cannot be used in an AC powered AM unit.
The 1643 AM/AMS unit can act as an SHDSL LTU when it is equipped with the
X12SHDSL-V2 option card. SHDSL tributaries can be connected to these interfaces.
Connector data
The SHDSL connectors which are located on the X12SHDSL-V2 option card are RJ45
connectors.

Cable data
Standard telephony cables can be used (see table below).
Be aware of the following two cases:
• If the cables are going to a distribution frame, an appropriate breakout cable can be
used (e.g. 16x2).
• If the cables are connected directly to modems, 2x2 cables can be used where only
one pair is required.
