Horizontal rack mounting
The horizontal rack mounting is allowed if one unit is used only. If 2 or more units
are used it is required to mount the units vertically.
In case other equipment is present in the same rack, the AM/AMS unit should be
separated from this equipment by means of a heat baffle.
NOTE: Due to thermal reasons it is highly recommended to mount AC units vertically
(see section below).
Vertical rack mounting
Please observe the following rules for vertical rack mounting:
A maximum of 10 units (2 blocks - 5 units) can be mounted within one rack. In
that case, a heat baffle must be placed in the middle of the rack as shown in the
figure below.
