To establish a console connection:
Step 1 Connect the terminal to the Console port on the SF/CPM (Figure 30) using the serial
cable.
If you use a null modem cable, make sure that the switch beside the console port is flipped
to DTE when connecting to the serial port of a PC.
If you use a straight-through cable, make sure that the switch beside the console port is
flipped to DCE when connecting to the serial port of a PC.
Step 2 Power on the terminal.
Step 3 Establish the connection by pressing the <Enter> key a few times on your terminal
keyboard.
Step 4 At the prompt, enter the login and password.
The default login is
admin.
The default password is
admin.
