7.2.7 Pneumatic Actuators

7.3 Removal and Insertion of the Filter Basket
7.3.1 Dismantling
Before disassembly of the filter ensure that the Alfa Laval service kit is
available. It contains O-rings, sleeve bearings, sealing ring / hose clamp, lifting
lug and gasket.
1 Isolate the filter in subject by closing the main shut off valves (or by pass the
filter).
2 Turn off the main power supply to the control panel for the filter in subject.
a. For Panels that controls more than 1 filter, use the local safety switch.
3 Disconnect Main air supply to the Control Panel (Pneumatic filters).
4 Drain off the filter completely by:
a. Using the vent and Drain connections (optional)
b. Using drain point downstream of the filter. (requires that main outlet is pointing
downwards)
c. Loosening the bolts of the end cover.
5 Unscrew/remove bolts, nuts and washers on the filter end cover and remove it.
