11.Tumbler Overheating
Tumbler
overheating
Gas Models:
Are main
burner orifices
incorrect?
Replace
orifices.
Gas Models:
Is gas
pressure too
high?
Adjust gas
pressure as
specified on
serial plate.
Is make-up air
inadequate?
Refer to
Installation
Manual for
make-up air
requirements.
Is there lint
accumulation?
Remove lint.
Is exhaust
system
restricted or
inadequate?
Remove
obstruction or lint
build-up from
exhaust ductwork.
Refer to
Installation
Manual for exhaust
system
requirements.
Is
thermistor
inoperative?
Test thermistor by
removing harness from
thermistor terminals. Check
resistance across
terminals, should read
approximately 50,000
Ohms at 77°F. Resistance
should decrease with a
temperature increase.
Replace thermistor if
inoperative.
