Section 5 Service Procedures
To reduce the risk of electric shock, fire, explosion, serious injury or death:
• Disconnect electric power to the tumbler before servicing.
• Close gas shut-off valve to gas tumbler before servicing.
• Close steam valve to steam tumbler before servicing.
• Never start the tumbler with any guards/panels removed.
• Whenever ground wires are removed during servicing, these ground wires must be
reconnected to ensure that the tumbler is properly grounded.

40. HEATER ELEMENT
(Electric Models)
Refer to Figure 32.
a. Remove three screws holding connector cover
in place. Remove guard.
b. Remove nuts attaching element wires and
jumper bars to elements. Disconnect element
wires.
c. Remove six screws holding element guard to
back of heater box. Remove guard.
d. Remove element attaching screw holding
element to the left side of stove (viewed from
rear of tumble dryer).
e. Slide element to right and pull left side of
element down and out to the left to remove
element (viewed from rear of tumble dryer).
