Overview

The NCY246 73" Metal Windmill Garden Stake is a decorative outdoor item designed to add visual interest to gardens and outdoor spaces. It features a windmill design that is intended to spin with the wind, providing a dynamic element to the garden.

Function Description:

The primary function of this product is decorative. It serves as a garden stake with a windmill top that rotates, creating a visual effect in response to wind. The item is designed for outdoor use, specifically for placement in garden beds, lawns, or other soft ground.

Important Technical Specifications:

  • Model Number: NCY246
  • Height: 73 inches
  • Material: Metal
  • Type: Windmill Garden Stake

Usage Features:

The assembly process for the NCY246 is straightforward and involves several steps, primarily focused on screwing components together.

  • Step 1: Stake Assembly: Begin by assembling the base stake. Piece F.1 is screwed into F.2 counter-clockwise. Following this, piece E is screwed onto the assembled F (F.1 and F.2 combined) counter-clockwise. This forms the main stake structure.
  • Step 2: Large Windmill Attachment: The large windmill part (A) is then placed onto the assembled stake.
  • Step 3: Securing the Topper: Attachment part (C) is used to secure the large windmill topper (A) in place.
  • Step 4: Small Windmill Attachment: The small windmill part (B) is placed onto the middle attachment screw of part (C).
  • Step 5: Final Topper Placement: The topper part (D) is placed into the middle screw of part (C).
  • Step 6: Completion: Once all parts are assembled as per the diagrams, the item is complete and ready for placement in the garden.

Maintenance Features & Warranty Information:

The product comes with a limited warranty from Alpine Corporation, covering various aspects of the product's quality and durability.

  • Warranty Period: The item is covered under a one-year limited warranty from the date of purchase.
  • Proof of Purchase: A valid proof of purchase with a clearly indicated date is required for any warranty claim.
  • Photos for Claims: Photos of defective merchandise are required to help determine the cause of the defect.
  • Repair/Replacement: Alpine Corporation will, at its discretion, repair or replace the product if it does not meet their quality standards within the warranty period.
  • Component-Specific Coverage: The warranty covers individual components of the unit that may be defective, not the entire item if it has multiple parts. Replacement parts may be available through the original selling party or an approved parts retailer.
  • Shipping Charges for Replacement Parts: For replacement parts requested due to a warranty claim after 30 days of purchase, credit card information will be requested for shipping charges.

Exclusions from Warranty (Not Covered):

  • Water Damage:
    • The product is not designed to withstand extreme temperatures.
    • Improper storage leading to water freezing within the product is considered negligence and voids the warranty.
    • The use of "hard water" and/or caustic cleaners can affect the paint or finishes, and failure to keep the unit clean with such additives/cleaners will void the warranty.
    • For fountains (though this is a windmill stake, the general principle applies), splashing is normal, and protecting immediate surfaces is not the responsibility of Alpine Corporation.
  • Paint & Color (Retention and/or Loss):
    • Natural erosion of color due to water exposure is expected. This can be touched up with standard paint.
    • The paint is designed to protect against color breakdown.
    • All finishes will gradually fade and discolor over time.
    • The warranty only covers severe or complete fading within the first year from the date of purchase, excluding the natural erosion mentioned above.
  • Damages Caused By:
    • Transit damage.
    • Inadequate care and/or neglect.
    • Environmental and/or natural elements.
    • Immersion in water, unless specifically designed for it (which this product is not).
    • Improper installation, storage, and/or maintenance.
  • Voided Warranty Conditions: The warranty is void if the product has been damaged by:
    • Accident, misuse, negligence.
    • Improper installation and/or modifications.
    • Defects arising from freezing water damage, hard water damage, or failure to keep the unit clean and free of harmful additives like bleach or chlorine, which affect paint and/or parts.
  • Additional Costs: The warranty does not cover any additional charges for installation, removal, disposal, shipping costs, or consequential damage associated with any warranty claim.

Procedure for Warranty Claims:

If a warranty claim is needed, contact the retailer where the product was purchased. If that is not an option, contact Alpine Corporation directly via their website: www.alpine4u.com. Be prepared to provide proof of purchase, photographs, and any other necessary information to validate the claim.
