7 Troubleshooting
The system provides messages on the display in case of errors or problems:
• Error messages are displayed in red color. In this case the measured values are invalid. Mea-
surement has to be repeated.
• Warning messages are displayed in orange color. In this case the measured values are valid.

7.1 Measurement Problems

Appears if an error occurs during measure-

Allow the instrument to cool down.

Disable the jetness indices – see “Jetness
Measurement [}37]” - and repeat.
Device moved during measurement. Appears if instrument is moved during mea-
surement. Repeat measurement on a different
spot without moving the instrument.
If message appears without movements, deac-
tivate the option Use gloss for movement
detection, see “Setting Measurement Pa-
rameter [}23]”.
This may be necessary for example when mea-
suring very thin foils.
