By placing the base plate of the unit onto a surface and pressing either the Operate button on
the rear side of the instrument or triggering the measurement on the display, the instrument
measures the surface and processes, displays, and stores the measured values.
The instrument can be connected via USB or WiFi to a computer to read or write data. A resis-
tive display allows additional functionalities.
