The Altech Wireless Thermostat (AL-R4070 & AL-R4070E) is a room thermostat designed for individual room control, equipped with modern, safe, and trend-setting 868 MHz technology. It is conceived for the temperature regulation of heating and cooling surfaces.
In the AL-R4070 variant, an internal sensor controls the room temperature. For the AL-R4070E variant, the Wireless Thermostat includes an external sensor and is specifically designed for temperature adjustment of heating surfaces, such as floor heating. It's important to note that while the desired temperature adjustment of the heating surface influences the room temperature, a direct room temperature control is not provided in this variant. The Wireless Thermostats aim to offer maximum comfort for individual temperature control and contribute to energy saving when used in conjunction with the Digital Timer DS 1000.
The thermostat features a temperature rotary control for adjusting the desired surface temperature. A "SET" button is used for sending the logon code to the Wireless Basis. A lock mechanism secures the Wireless Thermostat to its system base.
Before wall installation, a wireless test should be performed to exclude potential sources of disturbance. Pressing the SET button tests the assignment of the thermostats or the wireless transmission. The assigned heating zone will be switched on for 1 minute, regardless of the current operating state. Subsequent presses of the SET button will toggle the channel status. If the thermostat cannot be assigned or if the heating zone cannot be switched during the test, the reception conditions for the basis are unfavorable, and an external receiver may be required. This test should only be performed after the Wireless Basis has completed its first-open function and the switch output is no longer active.
The device allows for balancing with the room temperature, with adjustments possible between -2K and +2K. Additionally, a range limitation can be selected individually.
The device should only be cleaned using a dry and solvent-free, soft cloth. It is crucial not to recharge the battery. When the battery is empty, it must be replaced with a new CR 2032 type battery. Rechargeable batteries or other battery types not specified should not be used. Empty batteries must be disposed of according to the regulations of the corresponding country.
The thermostat is an electronic room thermostat intended for the electrical readjustment of warm water heating systems for heating and cooling surfaces. It must only be used for controlling thermal actuators in conjunction with the AL-B2070 -2/-6. The manufacturer is not liable for improper use. Electrical installations must be carried out by authorized and trained electricians in accordance with current VDE regulations and local electric power utility company regulations. Installation work should always be performed in a de-energized state. In case of an emergency, the entire single room regulation system should be de-energized.
