938 Remove from sprues P13, P20 base 2545, support 2546, dish
2547 and from sprue P18 the transparent glass 2548 of one of the ve
searchlights that you will have to prepare in these assembly steps.
939 Assemble support 2546 in the side holes of dish 2547;
then glue.
940 Insert the dish with support as shown in the
picture in the upper dowel of base 2545 and glue.
943-944 Glue ladder 1445 (step 930), two containers 2518
(P26), the two piles of life rafts 2536 (step 920), two can
-
nons 2510 and two 1437, one on each side. Then move to
the side walls of the 1st and 2nd level and glue the Q lad
-
ders, two containers 2503 (step 883) and four containers
2517 (P26), two ladders 1446 and three life jackets 4000/03
one on the port side and two on the starboard one.
941 Before gluing the transparent glass to the dish, prepare four more
searchlights with base 2545, support 2546 and dish 2547 and paint all
ve of them in Ral 7001 grey. Once dry, you can x the plates to the
searchlight dishes.
942 Now that you have prepared several accessories, you can begin to x them on the decks of the
stern superstructure. Before gluing them, you have to paint the elements still to be coloured in Ral 7001
grey. Once dry, you can glue cabinet 2525 and aerator 2526 (sprue P25) to the forecastle deck against
the turret wall in the position shown. Move to the upper deck and glue six containers 2517 (P26), three
on each side, rangender 2542 (P27) on the turret, a B
1
cable reel to the side of the turret, and aerators
2543-2544 (P25) on the edge of the deck. Orient all these elements as shown in the picture and identify
their position drawn on the deck claddings.
