There is a problem with my kit.
Do not touch or drink the fluid in the tube. If the
fluid touches your eyes or skin, rinse with water.
Wipe the station and chair with
disinfecting wipes. Then use hand
sanitizer.
Remove the lid from the tube and
place the tube in the holder.
Do not remove gloves during sample
collection.
Do not remove mask. Keep your mouth
covered while collecting sample.
Do not spill the fluid in the tube! If you
spill the fluid, clean the area, discard
your kit, and get a new kit.
Open the swab pouch from the handle
end. Remove swab from the package.
Hold by the handle.
Do not touch the soft tip! If the swab
tip touches anything other than inside
your nostril, clean the area, discard
your kit, and get a new kit.
Lower face mask below your nose.
Swab first nostril.
Insert the soft tip of the swab 1/2 - 3/4
inch. Rub the swab in a slow circular
motion against the inside walls of your
nostril at least 4 times. This should take
about 15 seconds.
Repeat in other nostril.
Place swab into the tube. Break off
the swab handle.
To break the swab handle, hold the
tube firmly. Bend the handle at the
indicator line back and forth against
the tube until it breaks. Tightly recap
the tube.
Then place face mask back to cover
your nose.
Place the tube into the bag, remove
air, and seal the bag.
Wipe the station and chair with
disinfecting wipes.
Refer to the important reminders in
the left panel to ensure you collected
your sample correctly. If you have not
collected your sample correctly your
test cannot be processed.
Remove gloves and sanitize your
hands as you exit.
Put trash in the waste bin at your
station. Keep your sample.
Put your sample in the collection
bin as you exit.
