Using the Main Selection Menu
The Main Selection menu provides access to the
AD168 features that may be configured using Menu
mode.

LANGUAGE ENGLISH
A flashing cursor appears on-screen to indicate the
current selection.
The following selections are available:
• Select System to change settings associated
with system options, date/time, and port settings.
• Select Monitors to change settings associated
with tours, date/time display, and title display.
• Select Cameras to change settings associated
with pseudo-numbering, camera titles, and
preset titles.
• Select User/Keyboards to changes settings
associated with user or keyboard priorities and
user passcodes.
Note: The User/Keyboard option changes based
on the User IDs setting on the System Options
menu.
You can also use this screen to change the
language setting for the menus.
To select a menu item:
• Use the Up (VCR) or Down (ACK) keys to move
the highlight, and press the Enter (Preset) key.
• Enter the number associated with the menu item,
and press the Enter (Preset) key.
• Use the joystick to move the highlight, and press
the Enter (Preset) key.
Changing the Language Setting
The AD168 menus can be displayed in English,
French, German, Spanish, and Portuguese.
To change the language setting:
1. Move the cursor to the Language field.
2. Enter the following key combinations to select
the operating language:

French
2, Enter (Preset)
German
3, Enter (Preset)
Spanish
4, Enter (Preset)
Portuguese
5, Enter (Preset)
Following language selection, all menus appear in
the selected language.
Changing System Settings
The System menu provides the means to define
certain system options, the system time and date,
and the configuration of each of the AD168 CPU
control ports.

Use System Options to configure the user login
option, programming monitor menu call-up setting,
and system display of print messages.
Use Time and Date to set the correct system date
and time.
Use Ports to configure RS-232 port parameters,
including the device connected, communication
baud rate, parity, data bits, and stop bits.
