GENE RA L
The el ectronic assembly consists of a single
chassis
on which are mo unt ed t hr ee subas-
scmbUes
of etc hed board construction - th e
record amplifier w ith bias and erase oscillatoT,
the reproduce amplifier, and the power supply.
Each s ub assemb ly is an etched board ent ity
w
hi ch can be taken from the main assemb ly
by
disconnecting the edge-on harness connec-
tors
and removing 4 mounting sleeve nuts.
On the face pane l, facilities are available for
setting record and reproduce levels, selecting
high or low speed equa lization circuitry, mak-
ing input transfers for microphone, balanced
bridge or unbal anced bridge input s, and switch-
ing meter and o utput circuitry. Visual monitor-
ing of reproduce , record, bias, a nd erase levels
is provided by the vu meter on the face panel.
Two phone jacks for au ra l monHoring are
provided, one on the face panel and another on
the back of the el ectronic chass is. Power on-off
is controlled at tbe front of the assembly. A
control for
the record function , signified by an
accompanying indi cator li ght, comp l etes the
front pa nel arrangement.
