6.3 SPECORD PLUS installation
Warning!
Electric shock!
Before connecting the SPECORD PLUS and the PC to the mains check that the operating
voltage specified on the rating plates of the devices matches the mains voltage. Operation
with a voltage other than the specified operating voltage can destroy the devices.
ATTENTION!
Mind the device orientation!
Only transport the SPECORD PLUS in the upright position (note the marking on the
transport box). Do not topple the device during unpacking.
Remove the transport lock!
Remove all transport locks and unscrew the transport locking screws (→ "Removing the
transport lock" p. 26).
Connecting the SPECORD PLUS and the PC
1. Remove the device from the transport packaging and remove the protective sleeve.
Allow the device to settle until it has reached the ambient temperature.
2. Connect one mains cable each to the SPECORD PLUS and the PC. Plug the mains
plugs of the SPECORD PLUS and the PC into sockets connected to the same phase of
the power supply (preferably into a multiple socket outlet). Switch on the PC.
3. Install the software on the PC (→ WinASPECT PLUS operating instructions).
4. Connect the USB port of the SPECORD PLUS to the PC using the USB cable supplied.
Switch on the SPECORD PLUS.
When the SPECORD PLUS is connected for the first time, a device recognition
procedure is performed and the AJ driver is allocated after the device is
switched on.
