The trimmer must be OFF for the battery to charge. Plug the adapter cord plug directly
into the bottom of the trimmer to start the charging process. The trimmer has a lithium-
ion battery that cannot be damaged by overcharging. We recommend that the trimmer
be unplugged if not in use for seven or more days.
