Attaching Flash Adapter and Flash

The Angler FastBox Series Octagonal Softboxes, available in FB-20K (20-inch) and FB-24K (24-inch) models, are designed to add speed and flexibility to your lighting setup. These softboxes feature spring-loaded tension arms that make expanding and collapsing them a breeze. To expand, simply pull back the softbox tab until it locks into the built-in speed ring with a click. To collapse, slide the release latch to the left, and the FastBox instantly folds down.

The FastBox softboxes are designed for easy attachment and positioning. They mount onto your light stand using a twist lock mechanism. The twist lock socket fits onto the spigot of your light stand, and you secure it by turning the twist lock counterclockwise. The ideal lighting angle can be set using the pistol-grip tilt mechanism. To adjust the angle, squeeze and hold the pistol grip, position the softbox, and then release to lock it in place.

A key feature of the FastBox is its built-in speed ring, which offers quick flash attachment. Adapters for various on-camera flash units, such as the Profoto A1 and Godox V1, as well as standard on-camera flash heads, are sold separately. To attach a flash adapter, align it with the flash adapter alignment dot on the softbox and secure it. To release the adapter, use the flash adapter release latch. Once the adapter is in place, you can insert your flash into it.

To help shape the light, the interior of the FastBox features a silver lining for maximum reflectivity. Additionally, two diffusers are included to help soften the light, reduce hotspots, and create a smooth, even look in your photos. The softbox also includes a touch-fastener strip for attaching accessories and a softbox tab for easy handling. A carrying case is provided for convenient transport and storage.
