Overview

The provided document is a user and care manual for ANYWARE™ Cookware by Little Griddle. This cookware is designed for versatile use across various cooking surfaces, both indoors and outdoors.

Function Description:

ANYWARE™ cookware is primarily designed for cooking food. It is made from cast aluminum with an advanced ceramic coating, providing a high-temperature nonstick surface. The cookware is suitable for a wide range of cooking methods, including use on gas and electric stovetops, in home ovens, over backyard grills, and campfires. It is not intended for use under broilers or with induction cooktops. The ceramic nonstick surface is designed to facilitate easy food release and cleaning.

Important Technical Specifications:

  • Material: Cast aluminum with an advanced ceramic coating.
  • Nonstick Surface: High-temperature nonstick ceramic.
  • Maximum Continuous Cooking Temperature: 525°F (270°C). Prolonged temperatures above this limit may reduce nonstick effectiveness and can damage the ceramic surface or warp the cookware, voiding the warranty.
  • Compatibility:
    • Indoor: Gas stovetops, electric stovetops, home ovens.
    • Outdoor: Barbecue grills, camp stoves, campfires.
    • Not Compatible: Broilers, induction cooktops.
  • Nonstick Coating Composition: Does not contain PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) or PFOA (perfluorooctanoic acid).

Usage Features:

  • Pre-use Preparation ("Seasoning"): Before first use, the cookware should be washed with warm soapy water. After cooling, it should be "seasoned" by lightly rubbing cooking oil onto the nonstick surface and heating over medium heat for 2 minutes. Then, wash with mild detergent and warm water and rinse clean.
  • Heat Management: ANYWARE™ cookware heats quickly and evenly. Users are advised to start on LOW heat and gradually increase to find the appropriate cooking temperature for a given recipe. Overheating can damage the ceramic surface and warp the cookware. It is crucial not to preheat on high heat.
  • Recommended Heat Settings:
    • LOW: For warming and simmering foods.
    • MEDIUM: For cooking foods like eggs, sandwiches, pancakes, and for reducing stocks and gravies.
    • MEDIUM-HIGH: For frying, sautéing, searing meats and vegetables, and for stir-frying.
    • HIGH: For boiling liquids only.
  • Oil/Butter Usage: A small amount of cooking oil or butter is recommended for best cooking results. It should be allowed to heat for about a minute before adding ingredients.
  • Aerosol Cooking Sprays: Not recommended. These sprays contain chemical propellants that can build up on the cookware, making them difficult to remove and reducing the nonstick coating's effectiveness. If a small amount of fat is desired, wiping oil or butter with a silicone spatula or paper towel is suggested.
  • Utensils: Only silicone, wooden, or heat-rated plastic utensils should be used to protect the nonstick finish. Metal utensils, sharp instruments, or appliances will damage the finish and void the warranty.
  • Handling Hot Cookware: Cast aluminum cookware gets very hot, including the handles. Potholders or oven mitts should always be used when moving hot cookware to prevent burns.
  • Cold Ingredients: It is recommended to take cold ingredients out of the refrigerator a few minutes before cooking to prevent sticking.
  • Placement on Cooktops: Caution should be exercised when placing and moving ANYWARE™ on glass-top or ceramic electric cooktops to avoid scratching the cooktop surface.

Maintenance Features:

  • Cleaning:
    • Hand-washing Only: ANYWARE™ cookware is not dishwasher-safe. Placing it in a dishwasher will make the nonstick coating less effective and void the warranty.
    • Cool Down Before Cleaning: Always allow the cookware to cool completely before washing. Placing hot cookware in cold liquid can cause warping, which voids the warranty.
    • Cleaning Agents: Use only mild, good quality liquid dishwashing detergent and a non-abrasive sponge or soft cloth.
    • Avoid Abrasives: Do not use abrasive cleaners or pads, steel wool, oven cleaners, caustic materials, bleach, or liquid household cleaners, as these can damage the surface and void the warranty.
    • Tough Messes: For stubborn food debris, soak the cookware in warm water with mild detergent until loosened, then gently scrub with mild dishwashing detergent and a non-abrasive sponge.
  • Storage: When storing, placing a clean, soft cloth on the cooking surface can help protect it.
  • Warranty: Little Griddle offers a limited lifetime product warranty against manufacturing defects when the cookware is put to normal household use and cared for according to instructions. Damages from misuse, abuse, normal wear and tear, commercial use, improper cleaning, neglect, accident, alteration, fire, theft, staining, scratching, or chipping from cooking implements are excluded. Warping due to overheating is also not covered. Minor cosmetic imperfections, surface markings from shipping, and slight color variations are considered normal. Changes in coloration due to staining ingredients or heating/cooling are also normal and not covered.
